How can I convey invisibility in artwork?

I'm trying to create a self portrait in which I'm invisible, but I'm having a mite of trouble. Basically, I have to be technically visible in the picture (so that it's obvious that I'm actually there!) but still show that no one else in the picture can see me (as if I were wearing, say, an invisibility cloak). Any media is good.
