Skeptics: Smart people, or Religious Zealots?
Science is based on Empirical evidence. A Skeptic asks for this evidence. As an example. If you pray for and get what you ask for, then you may think that prayer is a method of getting what you want. But this has to work every time. If someone else tries it, and it does not work, then prayer does not work. With science, if I drop a rock, it will fall. If anyone drops a rock, it will fall. Therefore it is a fact that objects fall. That's the empirical evidence to back it up. Anyone can repeat the same experiment and it will work, for anyone, always, anytime. Evolution is a fact. It is backed up by numerous observations, made independently by many people. It has been tested over and over again for over 100 years, and has always been proven to be true. That cannot be said of any religion.
