Seperating after 21 years marriage?

Who's right, I have been married to my wife for 21 yr and together a little longer. We have two lovely children now 18,20 and have had the usual good and bad times. neither of us ever been or wanted anyone else( I think). However my career takes us all over the place and we have lived in the most breathtaking locations within UK. I have spent 2 yrs here 5 yrs there and so on. This has always been the same and usually each move has been to better ourselves. Unfortunately my job requires that I live on site so we have always had tied housing,although do have our own place somewhere where we would like to retire to one day. The last two yrs i have had 2 jobs which have been a nightmare so have moved twice quickly although within the same area. My wife now has a life here and her own job which is fulfilling her. However i have been offered what I consider my dream position which should be for the rest of my career in a part of the country that i love. My wife refuses to even look at the position and has said she will stay put here.Problem is that when I give up my role the house goes, she does not yet want to go to our own house and I can not afford to rent for her and her salary is rather low in terms. If we seperate will she get housing help in the short term. Wife says that I am making her homeless yet i have a house to go to in a different area which I would like her to join me in.Anyone tell me anything ?
