I like him a lot more than planned on but its killing me inside?

so this guy and i hate each other but i think he liked me a lot at the begining of the school year and i started liking someone else and thats when we started hating each other. and he use to be brutal to me but now we're OK with each other but still not great. whenever i see him in the hall we make eye contact that makes me want to just lay down and die and he does it all the time and we talk when we can but thats not often. ive tried talking to him but he wont tell me what i ever did. please what shoud i do, i like him sooo much and ik its stupid and i tried to stop myself from falling for him but i couldnt uhhhh pleas help?
