Treatment for obscure auditory dysfunction (OAD)?

some years back i saw an ENT specialist consultant and he did hearing tests, my results came back normal/maybe slightly above normal hearing. but i have difficulty hearing what people are saying when theres background noise in social situations and also when i work in theatre and theres the background noise of machines and suction (bit of a problem!). i was diagnosed with OAD. he said it was a rare condition and that there was nothing u can do about it. this was some yrs back. was just wondering if anyone knows of any treatment or anything that may help? thanks.

Horse will NOT go and bucks?

I am very scared of my horse right now. He use to go whenever I asked, but now he literally will not move. He will go toward his buddy (I put him in a little corral so he won't distract) but nooooooo, when I move the opposite direction, he will not budge. The worst part is if I just squeeze him normally, he'll back up. I do it again- a hard buck! He doesn't do it ten times in a row like a rodeo, but he will do a buck. So I try about 3 times and he just repeats. After that I just dismount so I don't put myself in potential danger. Also, if lounging (IDK how to spell it) the answer, how do I lounge? Please help- I am very worried about my safety. I know spurs and a crop aren't the answer, that will just make him angrier!

Yes very much, look up Arab nationalism under Egypt's years in the fifties. Or look up nationalism in Tunisia there it accounted for 95% literacy for both females and males. then there is Algeria. Notice these are north African Arab nations too with more moderate governments after colonialism. As far as the Baath party maybe but look what was Christian Falangists in Beirut these parties are nationalist but fighting other parties over secularism in their countries.

Boyfriend's Ex-Wife wants to stay with us.?

My live-in boyfriend has two children from a previous marriage. Unfortunately, his kids are in a different country and he hasn't seen them in 7 months. He misses them terribly. His ex-wife agreed to accompany them to the US so that they could stay with us for a week and 1/2 in March. She and her new husband were to stay close by in a hotel while the kids stay with us. Now she's changed her mind and says the hotel is too expensive (even though my boyfriend has very generously offered to SPLIT the cost of the hotel) and is going to have to stay in our apartment. There is no privacy in our apartment as there is an open floorplan. I've never met the kids nor the ex nor the new husband. I'm not sure how to react to this situation. Better yet, I'm not sure how I'm GOING to react after several days together with my boyfriends kids and his ex...all under one roof!! Am I wrong to be extremely concerned?

The church invented the ghastliest torture devises of all time...why?

It was a means of control, dating back to the medieval ages, i suppose. i believe the church has become currupted eversince. They tortured those who didn't follow the preachings to strike fear into the people. more people worshiping, more offerings, more offerings, more money in the pockets of the church. why? to spend money on opium and beer, and maybe a few cheap barmaids. the church isn't as honest as you think. that's just me.

Need urgent help with fish tank!?

[panics] mk, i just got home n my mother proudly presented me with my fish tank, that she'd just cleaned thouroughly...completely. there wasnt a speck of dirt anywhere. all the gravels been thouroughly cleaned, the plants have been cleaned, the tank has been cleaned, and it has completely new water. 100% of it. aside from that, she decided the filter was getting smelly and cleaned it with eucalyptus oil. thankfully she hasnt re-installed it in my tank, and shes left my fish outta the tank so far cause she thought i might wanna reintroduce them to the tank. im freaking out though...last time i did a thourough clean like that 1 of my fishes died...i dont want the others to die! is it bad to introduce them into such a shockingly clean tank with no bacteria etc? and will the filter kill them? (even though i rinsed and scrubbed at it to try and get rid of euc. oil traces)...what should i do? my poor fish are sitting in a container waiting for their new home, but will it kill them?
